Staying in control of the night
Gambling is entertainment we sell, and entertainment has a price you should decide on before you start rather than after. This page sets out the controls sitting on every Mickey13 account, the signs worth watching for, and the free Australian services that have nothing to do with us and answer around the clock.

You do not have to be in crisis to call. Most people who ring these numbers are not at rock bottom — they have simply noticed something they do not like and want to talk it through before it gets worse. That is exactly what the line is for.
The controls on your account
Every tool below is available from your account settings or through live chat, and every one of them takes effect immediately. We do not phone you afterwards to suggest you reconsider, and we do not run offers designed to pull a limit back off.
| Tool | What it does | How it lifts |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps what you can pay in per day, week or month, across every payment method on the account. | Lowering takes effect at once. Raising it takes effect after a cooling period, never on the spot. |
| Loss limit | Caps net losses over a period you choose, independent of how much you deposit. | Same rule: down immediately, up only after a wait. |
| Session reminder | Interrupts play at an interval you set and shows how long you have been on and where the balance stands. | Adjustable at any time. |
| Cool-off | Closes the lobby to you for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Withdrawals still work. | Ends on its own. It cannot be cut short. |
| Self-exclusion | Shuts the account for six months, a year, five years or permanently, and stops all marketing. | It does not lift early, under any circumstances, for any reason. |
Any balance you are holding when a cool-off or self-exclusion starts remains yours. Ask live chat and we will withdraw it to you through the normal 0 to 24 hour route — closing the door does not cost you your money.
Signs worth taking seriously
Harm rarely announces itself. It shows up as small changes in how you play and what you tell people about it. Any one of these on its own may mean nothing; two or three together are worth a conversation.
- You are betting more than you planned to, and the plan keeps moving.
- You go back to win losses back, and that feels like a strategy rather than a warning.
- You play with money set aside for rent, bills, food or someone else.
- You borrow to keep playing, or sell something to fund a session.
- You hide how much or how often you play from people close to you.
- Sleep, work or relationships have started paying for your sessions.
- Stopping makes you restless or irritable in a way that surprises you.
- The play has stopped being fun and has become something you do anyway.
A short honesty test. Before your next session, write down the number you are prepared to lose. Play. Then look at what actually happened. If the two numbers do not match, and they did not match last time either, that gap is the thing to act on — not the next result.
Nobody under 18
Our licence sets eighteen as the floor and we verify age before a withdrawal is released. An account opened with false details is closed, and winnings on it are void — that is not a threat, it is what the licence requires of us.
If children share your device, lock it down properly. Filtering software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio blocks gambling sites at the device level, and separate profiles with their own passwords stop a saved login being all that stands between a minor and a live lobby. Do not save payment details on a device a child can reach.
If it is someone else's gambling
Families carry a great deal of this, often before the player admits anything is wrong. Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 counsels partners, parents and friends as well as players, and the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 will speak to whoever is holding the debt.
What we can do from our side: if you contact us about an account you are connected to, we will explain what controls exist and how the person can apply them. We cannot close, freeze or discuss someone else's account with you — privacy law and our licence both stop us, and that protection cuts both ways.
Quick answers
Can I reverse a self-exclusion if I change my mind?
No. That is the entire point of it. A self-exclusion runs its full term, and the version of you who set it made the decision deliberately.
Do I lose my balance if I close the account?
No. Your balance stays yours and we will process it out through the normal withdrawal route, 0 to 24 hours once verification is complete.
Will you keep sending me promotions after I set a limit?
Cool-off and self-exclusion stop marketing outright. If you have set a limit and would also like the emails to stop, tell live chat and we will switch them off without asking you to justify it.
Set your limit first, then play. Deposit and loss limits sit in account settings and apply the moment you save them.
